Privacy policy

JAPAN 30 is operated by Inbound Holdings in Japan. We follow a data-minimisation approach: the public ranking service can be used without an account, and we do not sell personal information.

Information used

Essential browser preferences. Your selected language and analytics choice may be stored on your device. They are not used for advertising and can be removed through your browser settings.

Optional analytics. Google Analytics is loaded only after you select “Allow analytics.” If allowed, limited information such as page viewed, ranking interaction, browser language, device information, referring domain and approximate country may be processed. Advertising storage, ad personalisation and Google signals are disabled. We do not set a JAPAN 30 user ID.

Ranking and nearby searches. Destination, category, accommodation/address query and approximate search origin may be sent from our server to Google Maps Platform to return places. The Google API key remains on the server. We do not use these searches to create a named traveller profile.

Email. The newsletter is not active and this website does not currently store newsletter addresses. If you contact us directly, we use the information only to answer the inquiry, manage the requested business relationship, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.

Purpose and retention

We use permitted information to operate the service, improve rankings and usability, measure aggregated country and language trends, prevent misuse, respond to inquiries and protect our legal rights. Browser preferences remain until you change or clear them. Analytics event retention is limited through our analytics settings. Inquiry records are reviewed and deleted when no longer needed for the stated purpose or legal obligations.

Providers and international transfers

Hosting, security, analytics and map functions may be provided by service providers including OpenAI/Cloudflare infrastructure and Google. Information may therefore be processed outside your country. We use provider controls and contractual safeguards appropriate to the service.

Your choices and rights

You can refuse analytics without losing access to rankings. Use “Privacy settings” in the footer to change or withdraw your choice at any time. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or information about disclosure of personal data connected to you.

Security and children

We use encrypted transport, server-side secrets, restrictive browser security policies, request validation, abuse controls and limited access to operational systems. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. JAPAN 30 is a general travel service and is not designed to collect personal information from children.
